maia abeyta
Maia is a Denver native, whose love for tattooing goes as far back as she could remember. In elementary school, she would get in trouble for drawing on her classmates and at home for constantly drawing on herself and her younger brother. She graduated from Denver School of the Arts in 2015 and after, she entered the Fine Arts Program for Drawing & Illustration at the University of Colorado at Denver. While a full-time student, she started her tattoo journey as an apprentice at Tribe Tattoo in late 2017 and by early 2019 began her dream career.
Maia loves creating female portraits in Neotraditional black and gray, but also enjoys working on anything that her clients can imagine.
In her spare time, Maia studies Muay Thai alongside her dad at Bang Muay Thai. She enjoys partnering with him because he keeps her on her toes and driven to find ways to win. She also spends a lot of time creating art for pleasure and for sale. She’s sold graphic prints and original paintings locally, but is looking forward to expanding her market further.
That’s one of the many reasons why Maia is thrilled to be a tattoo artist at Til Death. “Being surrounded by such exceptional artists will constantly motivate me to challenge my skills/creativity, always trying to give my best in tattooing and my own personal art”.
